This Giant Viking Boat Will Sail the Atlantic
This ship, the Draken Harald Hårfagre, the largest Viking ship built in modern times, will follow the path Leif Eriksson took over a thousand years ago. In May 2016 it will leave Norway and past the Shetlands and the Faeroe Islands before landing in Iceland. Then they’ll aim for Greenland, and then Newfoundland. They’ll sail up the St Lawrence River to spend the summer in the Great Lakes, then return to New York City for the fall where it’ll spend the following winter.
